I am also considering Enbridge as a new holding in my portfolio. Yes the company is within a field that’s more volatile than utilities or Telcos, but the recent dividend hikes have been very generous.
”More importantly, Enbridge recently increased its dividend by 10%, hiking it to 58.3 cents per share. Shareholders on record as of Feb. 15 will receive the payment on March 1. The company expects to raise its dividend by about 15% once the Spectra deal closes. The company predicts this incredible dividend-growth rate will be even stronger year in and year out through 2024.
Currently sitting at 4.17% yield even with an 8% growth on average for the next couple of years you would end up with 12.17% total return …. Which I consider enticing enough.
